Reading Recovery

What is Reading Recovery?

Reading Recovery is short-term early literacy intervention for 1st grade children having difficulty learning to read and write.  For several months each year, enrolled children receive one-on-one instructional lessons taught by specially trained teachers. During this intervention, children make accelerated progress and develop effective reading and writing strategies so that they continue to work independently and meet grade-level expectations.
